Hello/Intro StressReturn to index of stories... |
Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. Stress -- We ALL deal with it at one time or another. A University of New Hampshire researcher is looking to put the spotlight on "women's" experiences of stress and trauma. Its no suprise that Men and women respond to stress and trauma differently. Until recently, the study of trauma was based mostly on the experiences of men. Kathleen Kendall-Tackett -- is working to change that with "The Handbook of Women, Stress and Trauma." Kendall-Tackett is a health psychologist at UNH and Research Associate Professor of Psychology. I sat down with her recently to talk about STRESS -- and how it affects "women's" lives. |

Intro WeddingReturn to index of stories... |
Anyone who's planned a wedding knows how stressful it can be -- especially for the bride-to-be. Spring is traditionally a busy time in the wedding business -- as a lot of couples opt to tie the knot between May and the beginning of October. Ginger THU-lander is the author of a book called "Wedding Day Wisdom" - a light-hearted look at wedding planning -- the details easily overlooked -- and some of the things that can go wrong. The Founder of NH Wedding Magazine sat down with Julie Donnelly to talk about her book -- and what every bride should know in order to avoid some of those wedding-day mishaps. |

Ginger Thulander says if couples are looking to cut costs they should consider a DAY wedding. After all.it's cheaper to pay for lunch rather than a dinner meal. Another sure fire way to keep costs down: cut down the guest list and stick with just close friends and family. For more information on our guests and interviews you can log on to our website at NHPTV.org/Outlook for a link. And just a reminder New Hampshire Outlook is available online on-demand. |
